Review – The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density

Packaging: It comes in standard The Ordinary packaging of a glass bottle with a dropper cap. The bottle doesn’t have many details so do not throw the outer box away.

Fragrance: I was kind of surprised but it gives a fresh baked cookies kind of fragrance when applied and massaged. I love it.

My Experience

I honestly wasn’t much aware of the term Redensyl so when I told about this product to my brother, he mentioned that it might be Redensyl which is used in hair growth products but once you stop using them, it might create double the amount of hair fall.

I was obviously scared and we further researched. Upon going through many articles and testimonials, I learned that Redensyl is more plant-based and a safer ingredient. It’s Minoxidil which is stronger and can lead to hair fall if stopped using and must be used by following proper treatment.

Plus, when I shared about The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density on my Instagram, a friend of mine responded that Redensyl is safe and generally has no side effects. Relieved!

I started using The Ordinary Redensyl hair serum the same day I received it. Before going to bed, I poured a few drops onto my scalp and massaged it well. It has a completely water-like texture which makes it easy to spread through the scalp. I then further massage my scalp with my wooden comb.

I had my doubt that after application, my hair going to feel sticky or oily or something like that. I mean I applied something to my hair, on the scalp to be precise, and it isn’t going to look fresh out of the shower.

To my surprise, it didn’t really result in a greasy look. I mean my hair wasn’t looking exactly blow-dried but it wasn’t that bad. I combed my hair the next morning with my paddle brush and it was all good.

But, using The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density every day for 3-4 days straight definitely resulted “oiled hair” kind of look. Since then I have been using this Redensyl serum a day before my shampoo and it’s been working really good. I pair it up with L’Oreal leave-in night hair cream or added benefits.

The next morning, I always oil my hair, let it sit for about 2 hours, and then go for a shower.

Since then I have been following the same routine and now I have almost finished bottled. Without any doubt I can definitely say, IT WORKS! My hair is now visibly denser, fuller, and thicker. I mostly used the serum on the front and it’s visibly fuller now. I can even see small tiny hair growing.

I mean touchwood, this is the first time I ever invested in a hair serum and it worked. From scalp to strands, my hair definitely feels and looks fuller and denser to me. I remember my crown area started to look thinner and lacked density which is the main reason my concern for hair care started and I am glad this Ordinary hair serum provided me with the desired results.

I didn’t really face any allergies or reactions. I did face an initial mild level itch though but it only lasted the first few times.

The one major mistake I made was I used Retinol at the same time I had The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density on my scalp which unfortunately resulted in such a bad reaction. The sides of my forehead developed this extreme redness and a dry patch which was really painful. Later, I read on the official website to not use any active or Vitamin-C with this Hair Serum on. It took some time, but it healed, there is still a dry patch now but it’s much recovered.
